My 1st job, I was a teenage in the 60's, paid $1.50 an hour.
I was an entry level on a surveyor crew. We surveyed the original
Indy Interstates (as they are called here). We were amazed - some of the road
was to go over/above a street here and there. Wow that was science fiction work.
