Docj, the answer to the question of "why not wait with a PR until facts can be presented?" is fairly simple :
The impatience of us shareholders.
You just have to follow the discussions on this board, and honestly I do not want to know the amount and - at least in part - kind of emails that Todd and Joe receive from impatient shareholders every day. So I am sure that they are publishing such PRs due to public demand and the fact that they receive tons of questions that they cannot answer to a single person individually. So when the pressure gets too high, they lift the lid and release some of it through these woulda-shoulda-coulda PRs.
So most people, and I cannot deny that I sometimes fall pay for that as well, keep complaining either because of the lack of news or the lack of concrete information in the news released. We all see what a real covid-19 news can do to the share price of such a company (just Thursday Datametex AI exploded (300% increase in one day), because they announced that they are planning on importing Korean quick test kits into the US an Canada) and yet the prospects for GNBT seems to be there, but yet ... damn iiiiitttt .... why does it take these guys so looooonnnnnggggg to get this really going.
I do like the idea that Paul has started here, because it goes along the idea of positive thinking and "what you focus your attention to expands" or the Henry Ford quote "whether you think you can do something, or you don't, you will always be right".
So maybe we can continue that line of thinking and no longer bother to be frustrated, but to believe that the GNBT management team is doing everything in their power to deliver the breakthrough that we are all waiting for for such a long time and so desperately. It seems to me that this race to get public funding already is on the finish line and as Todd keeps writing in almost all of his emails, everyone in this company is working day and night to push the company forward and make every single business area our unit successful.
Let's keep the believe and trust in that and allow them to do their job without constantly being bombarded with our questions, thoughts and frustrations.
I agree with Paul, Buildit and whoever else stated something along these lines, that all we/GNBT need is a fraction of the funding that BARDA made available to other companies and in addition receive the permission to fast track or vaccine development with the FDA and, as Joe once put it in a personal message to someone on this board, "we are golden".
I am sure that this will happen and I am able and willing to remain patient to wait for the day that this will officially be announced, until then the development work will continue and thus no time will be wasted, just because of the not yet signed paperwork.
