Don't know about those procedures but I will say I have an extensive history since age 1 to deal with heavy duty medical as a patient and people without heavy duty experience must be half way put down/drugged but that is a double edge sword. I have been ventilated and of course wasn't a big deal at least to me but what was. I didn't have my hearing aid in due to Quad Bypass which the bypass wasn't a big deal to me either but I couldn't hear instructions and of course when you are ventilated your arms are also restrained. Not a pleasant feeling but as I said I have extensive stuff done all my life. So for someone who has no experience coupled with the hospital environment and not able to breath that in itself is scary without even being ventilated or arms tied down.
Now I have no clue as to any differences in the equipment/tube or size tube down the throat but those people are their to help save your life and if you must be put half way out to keep the muscles relaxed and the panic down it just must be to save a life.
Moderator I have no problem if you need to delete this post, sincerely
I forgot, you won't be able to talk when you are ventilated.
