Two additional points about immunity is that I believe the antibody test will be used to help determine if there is immunity by having had the disease, and how long the immunity lasts. Yes, there is immunity built up when you recover from from the Flu, but the Coronavirus mutates and we don't know if any immunity is built up and/or transferable to prevent a different strain from reinfecting the person. We have never had this virus, and don't know how it is different. There are reports of "second waves" but we don't know if they only affect those who have not had the virus yet.
The good news, if there is good news, is the second gen of antibody test is similar to a diabetes blood finger prick test, rather than the batch PCR types that Abbot and others use. So administrators will be able to do it in minutes and it will be quick results. I saw one company offering a box of 10 for about $250 and it shows results sort of like a pregnancy test.
Millions of tests will be needed and this will not go away fast IMO.
Everybody, have a great day and talk to you later!
