I would think that a simple finger stick which is already approved for glucose would also be approved for antibody.
I suspect the reason they would like to have it in a controlled environment would be for reporting purposes. If everybody is randomly testing and not reporting their results, the larger picture of who is clear and who is at risk gets muddled.
might be nice to have a bluetooth capability that stores and automatically downloads to a government (CDC) web site the results only on result and general location. Just an idea to help make all the tests relevant on the global scale.
