Just a little background. I grew up in a northern state, in a town of about 55,000 people. My best friend in grade school was black, adopted when he was less than one. In the whole time growing up, there were about 20 blacks in the whole town. Most were going to college. So in everyday life, there wasn't any talk of anything about blacks, even local news. It's the national news is where you heard about blacks. And unless it was MLK day, or black history month, you didn't hear about the good they have done, which is sad.
So maybe I am ignorant, when it comes to that. But let me ask you. Can you name anyone of color, not black, that has done something great for this nation? Unless you are exposed to, or do some research, probably not. Does that make you ignorant?
Contrary to what the media says, racists come in all colors. I have seen it firsthand in the military. I didn't mean to offend anyone, was just agreeing with what Dr.D had posted. Glta!
