Hope everyone is having a safe and relaxed time at home this weekend. A few comments about Yet another touchy subject in our country. Again I am a black immigrant, now a citizen of this country. Successful in my own right. When I hear people making comments about agreeing with Doc and now realizing what blacks have accomplished and that there are actually successful blacks etc... I’m in shock. First let’s just agree that if we were in this stock to make money, that some of this new found respect wouldn’t be there and People’s prejudices would still be there. Yes a black man is running the company that will some day make some of us quite a lot of money hopefully. But your own ignorance is the reason why you haven’t seen the successes or heard about the successes of blacks in America or elsewhere. The media is not to blame but when you have a majority and minority race or races... there is a social bias towards showing things of the majority. And like I said the majority of you all are of the same majority demographic. And thus the comments you all make might make sense to the majority of you. There are people in the minority like myself, to whom it doesn’t. I have a wide range of true friends, I’m a very inclusive person. I make a point to say hi to “everyone”. My black friends, most have more degrees than I can count and are highly successful. Like I said it’s just that unless we are in the entertainment industry or sports, this is overshadowed. This is what Dr Dalton is saying... there is just not “enough” not that there isn’t. So we can carry on and support Doc and knowing that once money is made, you can continue this new found if it is new found realization there are successful blacks out there or those striving to be successful, and do something with your money to help, or sit back and revert to the ignorant folks you were before.
