A good article about the challenges Zoom may have

Guess what, remember how Chad said that Verb Live uses cloud technology with end to end encryption? Zoom doesn’t! That is going to take time to fix, Zoom says it is spending the next 90 days fixing the security issues.
Meanwhile they are losing customers and will continue to, and their reputation has taken a huge hit. Does anyone think those who have left Zoom and switched to another videoconferencing solution is going to come back?
Zoom admits they designed their product for large companies and relied on their customers to take care of the security. Not sure how they thought it would work. One way I can see is using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) where everyone is logged into that and it encrypts everything end to end. That would work with Zoom, but the average person isn’t going to have a VPN that they can stand up and have others join.
The article has this quote from the Zoom CEO:
‘ Yuan said Zoom was initially created for video conferencing at large organizations like banks, universities, government agencies and healthcare companies, all places that would have a dedicated IT staff tasked with safeguarding against hackers.
"We did not design the product with the foresight that, in a matter of weeks, every person in the world would suddenly be working, studying, and socializing from home," Yuan said.’
