Silence could mean many things
- financing could be in the 11th hour of negotiations and NP is just waiting to get that final confirmation
-BTD meeting is taking place at this very moment and we are getting clear guidelines as to what needs to be done to get it approved
- results could be fantastic with the first four covid patients and they are trying to figure out with the FDA how to proceed forward
- BLA could be within a gnat's eyelash of being complete and they are just putting the finishing touches on the submission
OR...and this is just a guess mind you...things could have slowed to a snails pace due to the frickin' pandemic Given that we are a biotech and the medical community is all hands on deck right now I think it is very safe to assume that things are taking extra time. We unfortunately don't live in a vacuum and all routines/schedules have been upended. Responses that should have taken a day may now take a week or two. Everyone is working at a reduced capacity as they try to manage homeschooling kids, limited ability to travel, mandatory "shelter in place" instructions, etc.
Please don't let the lack of news discourage you. These are unprecedented times and all sorts of timelines are slipping left and right. No news is certainly not necessarily bad news given the circumstances. I am seeing first hand in my professional life how everything is out of whack and we are all struggling to adapt to the new reality we find ourselves in...I am sure it is 1000 times worse for all those in the medical professions.
Stay strong everyone! Silence may not be bad in this case. It may also not be good. But it is very likely just because everyone's priorities are being adjusted given the impending crisis.
