I also find it very curious that this virus seems to disproportionately effect the elderly while at the same time leaving people under the age of 20 relatively unaffected. In fact in healthy very young children it doesn't seem to cause symptoms at all. This is not what we see in most other viruses of this nature. Most viruses which disproportionately affect the elderly also do so with the very young (typically under the age of 5) for very similar immunological reasons. We don't know enough about this virus yet to make assumptions (it even appears now that there are multiple strains w varying virility, also weird for a novel virus that has just crossed over to humans) but I find this To be VERY curious.
