On the flip side, my family and I were discussing

On a personal note, I have a job in the construction field in CA that is deemed “essential” so I have been continuing to work. I do take all of the necessary precautions so as to protect myself and my family. Thankfully, I don’t have to have close contact with my coworkers and I’m pretty isolated. I came home last night and walked in to see my mother in law, who’s 83 and lives with us part time, sitting on the sofa watching the national news, crying and shaking her head. 600+ dead in Italy in one day, and if you’re over 80 they won’t help you. That hit her hard. My wife and I sat with her (6 feet away) and just talked to ease her worries. There were no hugs, no hand holding to ease her fears, just words. These are anxious and strange times for us all. I pray this passes soon and we all come out of this a little stronger and wiser and more prepared for the future. Stay well everyone.
