That's just what the government wants, a PR stating they have found something effective against C19 (after just a first blush look at it) and then later find out the treatment is not the panacea they were looking for.
I am sure the govt. bigwigs and medical experts want that on their hands as the public would be real tolerant of such a mistake. LOL!!
I could see some announcement that some drug showed promise and is undergoing more detailed tests but as for now too early to make a positive statement, but nothing more than that.
We won't hear anything IMO until they have actually tried it on some patients and have a history of it working. As long as they have some background of success to justify them continuing them to give it to seriously ill patients, then they most likely will inform the public of same but certainly not earlier.
