$2 billion for Brilacidin results in over $8/share in cash. The stock price would likely be $10/share or more in an instant. There would be unlimited funds avialable to develop Kevetrin which could be a $10 billion or more drug on on it's own after a large phase 2. I think everyone would be thrilled with that outcome. Guarantee me $10/share with the option to hold on for Kevetrin development with nearly no risk? Sign me up!
I don't think we can get that much for Brilacidin at this time outright though. It would need to be a structured deal with milestones, etc.
You have to remember Leo Ehrlich is 61. He has investors which include many friends/family in deep here. Kevetrin was his original reason for starting CTIX. I think if he gets the opportunity to make everyone $5/share and get all the funding needed to try to bring Kevetrin to market he will take it. I don't think he enjoys having IPIX hanging on for years and years in survival mode.
It all depends what sort of terms LW is seeing at the table as we speculate here on the boards.
