These are my guesses on why GNBT had to change its promise regarding dividend -
I think initially Joe thought by retiring the 20M shares and only giving shares to float shares, the PPS was not going to be affected too much, then after retiring 20M shares, the PPS did not change, he realized that PPS was going to be cut into half if he did the 1 for 1, and with Creek selling and PPS dropping, he couldn't do it
Another thing is I think people will probably sell or have been selling to take tax losses...I am sure most of the people are under water...so that put pressure on the PPS....which makes it even more difficult for Joe feel comfortable doing 1:1
With the new dividend structure, my guess is that the dividend is for all shareholders (just my guess)...and with NGIO shares as part of the dividend, maybe insiders/noteholders will start to buy too...that might balance out the tax selling...

Hi Creekrat,
Thank you for reply and open words.
No1, I actually would even be able to sell with a tiny profit, as I am a GNBT shareholder for more than a decade and due the fact that I kept buying shares even in the time immediately after the 1000:1 RS and thanks to the 20:1 dividend, I hold a lot of shares right now with a very acceptable average purchase price.
No2. I am far from selling, especially not before I will have received the dividend that I have been waiting for for such a long time.
No3. I have been closely following the company, the PRs and CCs etc. for a long time and have so far been very optimistic and openly expressed it as well, especially on the YMB, but when I now look at what was said and promised and now compare this to what is publicly announced as facts, it appears to be not really the same anymore. If things take longer than initially thought, fine, I can live with that, but promising one thing, then delivering something less else and additionally announcing it as an extra benefit to shareholders etc. is something that I cannot accept and makes me wonder. So my no matter what 100% trust in Joe's leadership that I have had is surely not 100% anymore. If you know what I mean!?
