My 401k was switched from Schwab to Fidelity... all my UNVC shares were moved over after a lot of verification which meant me printing out every order confirmation and faxing over to the Fidelity team to count and verify. Some other penny positions came over as well and they all are now locked up. Meaning Fidelity will allow me to sell but not buy, and only the ones that are current. I don’t see the need to have to open and account and move your position. I have the mass of my UNVC at Fidelity but have accounts at Schwab and TDA. I would just advice all who are new just to open up a Schwab or TDAMERITRADE account and just wire funds instead of transferring funds in over a period of days. When I was buying I didn’t care about dropping $30 every time I wanted to fund an account because I knew in the long run it will be ridiculous to think I won’t have spend $30 to make thousands etc. I’m glad people still have time to buy... me I’m done buy... it’s time for business to start or better yet... time for us to see the working business we are invested in.
