So this begs the question. What crime are the 32 states committing for accepting illegal contraband and using it for offsetting local government expenses? Totally a double standard or are 32 states committing a federal crime and accomplices to money laundering and racketeering? How about the utilities providing energy to grow crops, or public water systems pumping out taxpayer dollars from their utility. Taxpayers are guilty too right; oh didn’t they vote to make it legal? This is ignorance at its finest hour, Pandora’s Box and oh how swift are the political types we elect.
One solution is the Secure and Fair Enforcement Banking Act; this law would help ease financial woes if it weren’t or doesn't get watered down. The measure would provide a safe harbor for banks by barring federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies from punishing banks for working directly or indirectly with cannabis-derived cash. What a novel thought.
Credit Unions are already calculating ways to include the $80 billion industry into their vaults. The National Credit Union Association agency has made the decision not to punish the charter credit unions for accepting the funds form MJ businesses. Banks loath Credit Unions, they are pushing hard to get the Secure and Fair Enforcement Banking Act passed into law, maybe 2020, we’ll see. These hearings begin this fall.
Back to HEXO they are Canadian, hey. USA politicians are load-o-s, hey!
