I agree very much with your observation regarding the question and Northwestern.
To me it felt like a very strange question to ask at that time. I really questioned the relevance of asking when that contract was signed. Thought it was just me, and there are all kind of people having other issues or questions.
Like you I now feel this was a setup and understand its relevance.
