I had to delete a post which quoted a vulgarity sent by a mentally disturbed individual to another poster, because of the obscene language by the sender of the PM.

If you receive abusive PMs from someone, please copy and send them to me or one of the other moderators. If you really want to post them publicly, please edit the vulgarity via asterisks or something like this: [obscenity] so that the message board remains G-rated.

We really do want to go by the standard of "would you want your 8-year-old relative to read this?"

Sorry that evidently people in addition to the moderators are receiving this kind of thing from a sick individual. I remind myself when he sends this stuff that we are probably acting as a safety valve that lets him blow off steam so he doesn't physically lash out at people near him, and that we are so lucky not to struggle with mental illness as he does. I feel very sorry for someone who is living such a miserable life.
