amfAR, making AIDS history,
Lab Chat: An Interview with Dr Jonah Sacha.
I will advise everyone to read couple of times to try to understand how he imagine
“ cure “ to HIV.
Evaluating Berlin patient what he think , in simple way , was responsible for his cure .
Base on the data , he think that patient developed
Graf-versus -reservoir effect , and the donor T cells recognized and killed his HIV infected cells .
CCR5 mutation probably played a role “ to some degree “ , but the most important was Graf-versus-reservoir reaction .
Probably because off CCR5 mutation reservoir was small from the beginning .
The challenge is not to give to patients GvHD which may be deadly. this is what he is working with Leronlimab in primates , hoping to have a
“ Cure “ by 2020 .
Very , very interesting reading ...
