Interesting, I had thought of the first issue. The second one you mentioned, was the one I was thinking of for safety. We know ccr5 inhibitors enhance chemo drugs by I believe several factors, so starting at a lower dose to make sure leronlimab + carboplatin is no too aggressive or creates other safety issues. I don't foresee any safety issues over just carboplatin though because maraviroc has already been used with other chemo drugs.
Eventually, they might be able to tweak and lower the carboplatin dose with 700mg leronlimab if all goes as expected.
