What has never been mentioned is the average numbe

Number of companies, sure. Number of users, sure.
But did anyone stop and think about on average, 5000 users per company.
Now do the math on the size of the average deal.
I've posted about SMAR before. They went public last year.
Market Cap: $4B+
Revenue: $177.7 million
Net free cash flow: -$14.9 million
Net operating cash flow: -$2.9 million,
Net Loss: -$11.7 million
Operating Loss: -$12.7 million
Incurred net losses attributable to common shareholders of $53.9 million, $53.7 million, and $15.2 million during the years ended January 31, 2019, 2018, and 2017, respectively.
Incurred research and development expenses of $58.8 million, $37.6 million, and $19.6 million during the years ended January 31, 2019, 2018, and 2017, respectively.
Smartsheet CEO Mark Mader holds a 2.3 percent share of the company
Oh the humanity. How can a company losing that much money and blowing even more on R&D stay in business. CEO only owns 2.3%. Is he dumping. They raised $150M at IPO but $113M pre-IPO. Where did it all go?
Let's take a step back from the panic of SMAR
The number of all customers with annualized contract values (ACV) of $50,000 or more: 444
Institutions love large deal sizes
Two years ago:
"Smartsheet, Mader said in an interview, has been growing at a rate of about 60 percent a year for the past five years, with a $100 million annual run rate, and intentionally run not for profit as it continues to grow. The company currently has about 70,000 businesses paying to use the product, ranging from SMBs through to large enterprises. This works out to around 550,000 licensed customers, and “a few million” people who use it free of charge, he said."
In the article they said customers which I think means users because they have 70,000 customers. On average 8 paid users per company if any of this data is correct. There is no license charge to view or edit with their product so they have a ton users/companies that use it for free. You only need a license to create.
Last earning report:
"Ended the year with 78,959 domain-based customers"
Last year Smartsheet reported 650,000 paying users and an additional 3 million free users, as of Jan. 31, 2018
Now you know their average deal size for their top 444 customers and more about the company
Now Figure out the average deal size for the Direct Sales division of VERB
Hint: It's not $10
