Jeh Johnson: 'by any measure' we have a crisis.

Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson confirmed there is a "crisis" at the southern border, with the number of apprehensions going beyond what he witnessed while serving in the Obama administration.
"By anyone's definition, by any measure, right now we have a crisis at our southern border," Johnson told Neil Cavuto Saturday.
"According to the commissioner of [Customs and Border Protection], there were 4,000 apprehensions in one day alone this past week, and we're on pace for 100,000 apprehensions on our southern border this month."
Earlier in the week, CBP Commissioner Kevin McAleenan said the border was at its "breaking point" and that there were not enough agents to respond to the crisis.
Photos emerged last week showing hundreds of migrants detained under an overpass in El Paso, Texas, since Border Patrol agents had no place to house them.
Responding on "The Five," Lisa Boothe said President Trump has been frustrated for months as Democrats and the mainstream media accuse him of "manufacturing" a crisis at the border.
She said that narrative is no longer believable.
"People are acknowledging now there actually is a crisis. ... The fact that [Johnson] is entering the fray, going on TV, talking about this crisis is acknowledgement of the fact that there is a lot going on at the southern border that we need to be paying attention to. It lends a lot of credibility," she said.
