Epilogue: Most of us (myself included) were in
Post# of 82672
Most of us (myself included) were in total shock about SFOR losing it's most recent court case against SA.
How could we lose, given that we had such a strong previous affirmation of our patents and a strong case of infringement by SA?
But now, by seeing and understanding the larger picture of problems with Alice 101 and the court system. -we see that SFOR is not alone. Under "Alice 101" such losses are common occurrences, and many, many other companies with patent infringement problems are in the exact same situation.
This fact should give us hope.
Why?
Because the recent problems with Alice 101 and the court system have led to an increasing clamor for change.
I'm not sure how SCOTUS could ever fix all the damage already been done to previous patent litigants, but by SFOR staying in the game and continuing the appeals with R&G, it's not over for us, -and we live to fight another day.
So in the future it's possible that SFOR's recent loss in might be resolved in one of two ways:
1) By R&G continuing the challenge and appeal fight in the court system. Or
2) By the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) or Congress fixing/resolving the overall problems with Alice 101 and patent litigation.
