I purchased my first Mac in 1985. I had an Apple 2e, then a Mac Performa, and went up from there. I current use a MacPro and two MacBookPro. I also have an iMac which also still operates even though I don't use it anymore. All those Macs over the years and never once an operating issue or any problems like viruses. Like you said, dollar for dollar, Mac is by far the better machine.
