Straw man arguments.
No one has trashed the flag rather than exercised the right of dissent guaranteed all of us under that flag.
No one can reasonably construe their dissent as reflecting a belief that the USA is not as good as other countries.
That's just the fear expressed by people who either don't understand the Bill of Rights or...……………..disrespect it's guarantee's.
The RIGHT to Dissent is right there in the very First Amendment.
It's an old kind of stupid that loves the idea of freedom. But the exercise of it by those you disagree with? Not so much, not so much.
Attendance may be down, but the stadiums remain mostly full, for teams still in contention and those in warmer climes or indoors.
So MOST fans are not upset and many probably understand what I've expressed, at least on a gut level.
if not, then the stadiums would be half empty and TV ad revenues would be way down. Neither of which is the case.
