EVL, this is what threw me - but I can see now you didn't understand the concept of a solar cell. So to teach you, you said the solar cell would have these:
4) The Frame. 5) A protective cover plate. 6) Frame and cover plate insulation.
I picture grommets in the solar cell - not a frame. Sort of like a trampoline, maybe with rigid springs matched to the cell's weight, to attach to each other or a scaffold.
The solar cell is thin, but sturdy, light weight. No need to weight it down with a frame.
Most people probably have seen the image of a solar panel so long, they can't conceptualize a solar cell as something different.
