This Unreal Border System Can Stop Illegals in Their Tracks, Costs 45% Less Than Wall

The common number being floated around for the cost of the border wall is $21.6 billion, which is still considerably less than the amount illegal immigrants cost taxpayers annually, when services for their American-citizen children are included.
Fortunately, Saudi Arabia proves there’s a much cheaper but efficient way to secure a border.
Saudi Arabia’s high-tech border system at the Iraq-Saudi Arabia frontier covers 900 kilometers, or about 560 miles, at a cost to the Saudis of about $3.4 billion.
Assuming all things being equal but the length, the same system extrapolated to the border between the United States and Mexico — about 3,100 kilometers or roughly 1,900 miles — would cost about $11.7 billion.
What did that $3.4 billion get spent on?
Saudi Arabia’s border system contains several different components that make it difficult for any outside force to cross.
Before intruders even make it to any barriers, they are met with berms, raised ridges of sand that are difficult to climb.
If intruders are bold enough to continue, they must pass twin chain link fences with razor wire. The fences are separated by a concertina fence, a type of barbed wire often used by prisons.
There are also underground movement sensors between the fences. The sensors trigger silent alarms that notify border security stationed at strategically placed watchtowers as well as in surveillance reconnaissance vehicles.
The watchtowers and vehicles contain cameras and radars equipped with facial recognition software.
In addition, helicopters stationed at response station heli-pads are always ready to intervene.
It is nearly impossible for any intruders — whether illegal aliens, smugglers or terrorists — to pass such a border system, and it’s affordable.
If Democrats were serious about saving money, they would jump on the opportunity to create an affordable and effective border security system to stop illegal immigration, which is currently crushing taxpayers with bills for billions of dollars in necessary services.
Protecting America’s sovereignty is easier and cheaper than the left would have you believe.
