RE: McAfee $550 Million contract & ACS share. Please read this 9/18/18 article by Nancy Marshall-Genzer "It's use it or lose it season in Washington". "Contractors would sit in their cars in the (Pentagon) parking lot waiting to sign last minute deals". This is the sad reality of the procuremrnt cycle due to the Federal budget fiasco. Billions of dollars go out contracting office doors the last weeks of the FY because of political budget delays in Congress. I have been one of those DOD contracting officers and part of that frustrating process of "hurry up & wait" for the politics to end. O.K. Newbies, please read the McAfee PR about the $550 million DOD contract. Note the phrase "DOD and US intelligence community". What this means is that if Mark discloses anything without DOD authorization: the contract can be cancelled, SFOR heavily fined and Mark could go to jail in accordance with the provisions of the US Government Confidentiality Statement. What's the impact of all this? If McAfee got DOD payment 9/30 and ACS 10/30, then SFOR sees it's first slice of Federal pie 11/15 (Please review R2R's post and link about monthly payment ftom ACS to SFOR on the 15th). Just in time for the SHs meeting!
