I doubt that an insurance company is going to want to pay for expensive IV therapy when they can wait and see if an inexpensive oral rinse will prevent the problem. And, I doubt that many doctors are going to want to tell their patients they have to drag themselves out for IV therapy, when they might not need it.
Brilacidin-OM does not have SYSTEMIC absorption. This is extremely important when someone already has a bunch of toxic drugs in their system, or has received radiation. We have no idea what kinds of interactions an IV therapy has with chemotherapy, but it would be surprising if it didn't in some way interact.
Wouldn't it be horrible to have IV therapy to prevent side effects, and then have the chemo not work as well, so that the patient didn't get the benefit of this arduous treatment?
