Mr. Wang asked me in mock astonishment after check

I think it's one of those fabled Kung Fu questions/riddles borne of the ancient elders before TV and Radio when people had time to think for themselves rather than just listen to what others have too say, or continually seek amusement, entertainment, approval.
I'm trying to figure it out. If there were no sounds whatsoever would there truly be deafness? And if there were deafness how would we know it? I'm not knocking the deaf. They probably see (and feel) the world in an entirely different way than those who can hear and quite possibly take it for granted. The sense of hearing is a gift as is also the gift of not hearing when seen / viewed in the proper perspective. Don't ask me to explain, ask the ancient elders and the prophets. Give Mr. Wang a shout so he can see you. Don't worry about me I can hear just fine and I enjoy watching those Kung Fu re-
runs with or without friends.
