Regarding guessing what product will come first, odds have to be on displays. But I do believe that QMC is developing or co-developing the applications I mention in yesterday's QMC Product List post and no doubt they are in different stages and timelines.
I agree with you on your qd production theory, but there is more to consider. The LED manufacturers- the focus of the new PR, are in a downward cycle of lower prices and profits. The market demands on lower pricing literally force OEMs to seek and demand lower prices from advanced phosphor and material manufacturers. These are short term relationships. There is no security in such a market. They change suppliers based on prices. So avoiding situations where the buyers are not committed to a long-term relationship is smart. That's why Squires is seeking to license 'mdifferent product rather than a quick sale. This can either be an exclusive license or non- exclusive.
QD LED solve many LED problems and would have a premium price generating profits. Squires seeks high volume, long-term deals in the best interest of the shareholders. I have to think many LED OEM saw our PR news in a LEDInside article and called Ando-san, if they are not already working with QMC.
