$XREE X Rail Entertainment Moves to Solicit Bidders to Operate Its X Train LA to Vegas Service

LAS VEGAS, NV, Aug. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- X Rail Enterprises, Inc. (OTC PINK: XREE) www.xrailentertainment.com, announced today that the X Train, which is planned to operate from Southern California to Las Vegas, will solicit bids from commercial haulage companies to operate its service.
The move is a break from the previously planned service which was to run as an Amtrak train. The company decided to seek competitive bids for the haulage of the train rather than just the Amtrak proposal.
“We have enjoyed a fine working relationship with Amtrak for many years as we have sought to get this project operational,” said Michael Barron, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, X Rail Entertainment. “Our decision to seek competitive bids is no reflection on that relationship. It simply positions us better to make the right choice on behalf of our stake holders. We have invested millions into this project and as we approached a potential run window of January 2019; opting to seek competitive bids for the service helps us be certain we have the best deal.” Barron continued, “We expect to release an RFP to several leading candidates, including Amtrak, who has asked to be considered.”
The bold move would make the X Train the only private excursion train of its kind, linking LA to Las Vegas by rail for the first time since 1997 when Amtrak halted service of the Desert Wind.
