Shorts don't have the power to drive the stock to any price they want to, otherwise IPIX would be zero right now.
Stock went up because of positive clinical results and business developments, and anticipation to near-term catalysts. Stock went down because of constant dilutions, trial delays and lack of cash concern.
The most recent 100% run-up is due to three near-term catalysts, not because the shorts want the price to go up so they could lose more money covering.
