Enigmas/Straw man arguments (1) Isn’t it we

(1) Isn’t it weird that in America , our flag and our culture offend so many people, but our benefits don’t?
Who is 'offended' by either? Some people choose to exercise their right to protest, a right the flag symbolically assures.
(2) How can the federal government ask U.S. citizens to pay back student loans, when illegal aliens are receiving a free education?
No illegal alien receives a 'free' college education. That's what student loans are for and illegals can't get them. "Undocumented students cannot receive federal financial aid for college — the type of aid that many college students rely on."
(3) Only in America are legal citizens labeled “racists” and “Nazis,” but illegal aliens are called “Dreamers.”
Horse shit. People, are called racists and Nazis based upon their words and actions. Dreamers are required to meet requirements to be so designated.
(4) Liberals say, “If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it’s worth it.” Well, then, if deporting all illegals saves just one life, wouldn’t that be worth it?
Liberals say no such thing. They do say that expanded universal background checks and closing gun show and terrorist watch list loopholes make sense. Most gun owners agree with those measures.
(5) I can’t quite figure out how you can proudly wave the flag of another country, but consider it punishment to be sent back there.
Not everyone waving those flags is illegal, so it's a silly statement.
(6) The Constitution: It doesn’t need to be rewritten, it needs to be reread.
Based upon many posts here it needs to be read by some for the first time..
(7) William F. Buckley said: “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other points of view, and are then shocked and offended when they discover there are other points of view.”
See protests that righties lose their shit over, and rethink the above.
( Joseph Sobran said: “‘Need’ now means wanting someone else’s money. ‘Greed’ means wanting to keep your own’. ‘Compassion’ is when a politician arranges the transfer.”
He may say that, but those are nonsensical sweeping generalizations.
(9) Florida has had 119 hurricanes since 1850, but some people still insist the last one was due to climate change.
No one has claimed that. It has been said, accurately, that climate change is increasing the intensity of storms.
