After going back and reading the recent pr again, I think the valuation for Elto had to be done for the private round of financing which they state they are preparing to initiate. Even though an IPO would be some time away still, they need to be able to price shares in Elto Pharma to investors today. I would guess the investors would presumably receive their shares today at a discount to what the IPO would be priced at later. The valuation would probably have been paid for by whatever bank they are using for the financing.
If they can actually raise a fair amount of money today off of that valution for Elto even at a steep discount, it should have big impact on the AMBS shares.
