Several years back I attended a gun show with one of my fellow Southern Red Neck pals. One of the venders at the show had a right sizable collection of Springfield 45-70 rifles and carbines. Our discussion about these weapons covered a few different areas including it's use at the Battle of The Little Bighorn. My friend's contribution to the discussion was, "The only thing that was wrong with the Battle of The Little Bighorn was that Phil Sheridan wasn't there to hold Custer's wee little hand." LOL
