I know that we have Otezla beat hands down on the safety side and the 200 arm showed about equal efficacy so expecting quite a bit better w/ 300 and 400 arms. Just was considering being that P is effective, safe, rather inexpensive compared to other treatments, and easy to administer would stop other companies from trying to add another me-too product to the pot since theirs couldn't improve much on ours in overall ratings. They'd have to think seriously if the cost and efforts of getting a product approved would garner enough revenue to make the costs worthwhile.
As I consider the future for IPIX, I have no worries regarding the upcoming P results as I believe BPs are going to be all over our pipeline. My thoughts go back to just how much talk has transpired between Leo and the various BPs up to this point and whether we are basically starting from scratch in negotiations with the P results or if they are merely a finalizing bit of data for offers to be placed on the table since Leo has pretty much played the give and take game for a number of months w/ the favored BPs as to what he expects based on various outcomes of the P trial. The long quiet period, the recent changes in personnel and focus away somewhat from research, and the overall success of all our products makes me believe talks are possibly pretty serious for more than just an indication or two. Will be interesting to see in the next few months or when our first deal comes thru and whether that will spur quick offers on the remaining part of the pipeline (if any exists).
