In order to answer your question,I feel I need to preface it with what I already knew and some of the things I learned along the way.

I knew the "Trinity" was already in place by knowing Dr.Menon's background and history.Also Leo having just recently funded CTIX out of his own pocket and becoming CEO,as well as checking out Leo's history.

I knew that where there is money involved,there will be crooks trying to steal it.

I knew that investing involves being rock solid certain that you know what you own and continuing to update your DD.

Also I learned that investing is like life and not like school.In school you learn the lesson and then take the test.In life and investing you take the test and then spend the rest of your life learning the lesson.

Also learned is that there are good people invested with you.It just takes time to figure out who they are.(wink).

I think that the greatest thing I learned (using all the above as a base and glad I learned it as it reinforced my choice) is that knowing what you own and patience go hand in hand.That said,if you don't have or learn patience,you are likely doomed in the pursuit of investing.
