What is the greatest lesson you have learned about investing during your investing career? Hope to hear from everybody as we all have to have learned something (though often we don't follow what we have learned).
My lesson learned cost me a lot of money, a lot.
I have learned that you don't invest solely in the science of a product, for genius can design a product but cannot bring it to market. Genius cannot raise financing or imbue those entrusted with the management of those funds with ethics and a loyalty to shareholders. Good management with good intentions but without good financing is doomed to failure. Thus, the Blessed Trinity of Investing better be a solid balance of the three. If only 1 of these three is missing, run, run fast, and run long away from that investment. That is why IPIX is so unique, it has the solid foundation needed to succeed in all the 3 necessary areas.
It isn't the sexiest point that makes the strongest case, for in war I have come to conclude the greatest attributes needed are filled and efficient supply lines. If the boots on the ground, planes in the air, or ships on/under the seas aren't supplied, their commanders cannot wage a proper war with any expectations to win. Supply is looked down somewhat by military folk, the heroes are the Seals, Rangers, Fighter pilots, famous Generals/Admirals, etc. but the folks back home and in the military keeping ammo in your weapons, food on your plates, and gas in your vehicles is what is winning the day, the battle, and the war.
