Part II: The untold story.

My one and only PM from JP. Although he has had so many phony alias-asses, who knows for sure.

But why does he have so many more member marks?

Is it because he devoted his life to posting on a MB 24x7 to gain fortune and fame?

After all, if you spend 5 minutes a post and posted 332, that's like 28 hours of your life gone.

OK, I gave up about 3 days of work to post a bunch of crap on a message board. My bad. Weak moment. I should have been doing something better in my life, but that wasn't too much time, but still I think, what a waste of time (see David Cassidy below)

But at almost 20K posts, that is like a full time employee working for 1 year. Holy sh_t. Let's say you live to be 82 as the average male if you are very lucky without ER Stress and the first 30 or so years don''t really factor into it because you are having way too much fun.

Who gives up a year of their prime life to post on a message board? Let's say you make $50/hr in your day job. That's like $100K worth of posting that's not even worth a nickle. Oh, the Humanity! (Herb Morrison face palm)

Really? Maybe it would make perfect sense if you made millions of dollars spending all that time, but JP whines about how much money he lost. Missed the part where he made a million by devoting a year of his life. As you get older, you realize you all the money in the world won't buy you more time. If anything time speeds up .

In reality, is has nothing to do with the number of posts you make, how clever they are, or how long you've been posting.

Maybe it's not well known unless you post enough on iFib but people constantly send you PM's that say if you member mark me, I'll member mark you. The first one I got, I was thinking Uh? This sounds like, you scratch my back I'll scratch yours.

Here's a few actual PM's

Quote:
follow marked you !! please return the favor back .

Quote:
Marked you #13..my friend..follow back if you could..Chris

Quote:
MARKED U #7 PLEASE MARK ME BACK, THANX

I ignored all of them, really thinking they should just -off but that's how the game works. JP on the other hand probably was like, sure buddy. The more member marks the bigger my cult following can be.

Imagine if you had a ton of member marks, you do have a chance of influencing a penny stock that is followed by sheeple. Just post something like "I'm certain this is going to drift lower over the next..." and people will follow.

Then when someone comes along that calls you out you can just post crap like:

To somehow prove what you say somehow means more.

Remember, this is the MB where the founder was conflicted. And everyone posting on the board is OK with that? In this world where any person or any company makes the slightest bad decision, people bail in a heartbeat, but you kind of wonder why a MB where the owner was convicted, posters are fine with that while they rant about the morals of the companies they post about. That is not only sad it is so screwed up and hypocritical.

In my opinion, that MB was gamed from the get go. You'd think they would add something so simple as post rating? Hell no, that would bring down the house of cards.

What's the rules to be a mod? I don't know. Maybe you haven't run over any squirrels in the last year?

The mods there are breaking the TOS all the time. Looks at JP posts where he is posting snapshots of the competing message board.

What kind of owner of a MB would even allow that and not kick him off the board entirely. Instead it's like, oh you want to be a mod of Avant, giddyup!

iFib will go the way of Raggingbull and Yahoo Messageboard. I think it's too late for them to change.

A message board that is pro company that actually has features to weed out the bashers and subversives. Guess what, that's all that true investors want, They want to hear about the company and ideas on how the company can succeed. Not a thousands reasons why the company might fail.

If you got this far I've save the best for last. Here's the kicker.

The SEC called me in the last year and was very, very interested in the analysts following the company, but not the company. It's a true fact and many people here know I've been able to back up what I say. Questions like: were you influenced in buying based on what analysts said and a lot more. I would guess they called other long-term shareholders. Probably skipped over the shorts and flippers, but just a guess.

Guess who the two analyst were? One which stopped posting as soon as he figured out he was in deep dodo. He got conflicted..

The other one continues to give them enough rope and everything he says is public. Just think what the SEC finds in the private PMs and emails.

I'm not sure why some people including Jason, Marin and John feel like they are above the law, but eventually (and it usually take a long time), it catches up.

You read the news about Martin and he always had a smile on his face believing he would go to Club Fed if convicted. Hmmm, no tennis courts where he went.
