What did the company mean by market ready? That is
Post# of 15624
At one point their rep in Florida tried to suggest that the term "market ready" meant that the psoriasis cream was "shelf ready". Not seeing the product on any shelves yet, to me that was even more of an outrageous suggestion. Having concluded that this guy was a lightweight and didn't have a clue on what he was talking about, I started re-reading some of the official 8-Ks from the company.
The 8-K released on June 26 stated the following:
OWC Pharmaceutical Research Corp. (the "Registrant" ) is reporting the issuance on June 27, 2017 of the attached press release, announcing that its wholly-owned, Israel-based subsidiary, One World Cannabis Ltd (OWC), has filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its active cannabinoid-based topical cream. This new patent application follows the previously filed "provisional"" patent application. The added protection that this patent application should provide for OWC's intellectual property will enable OWC to accelerate its ongoing discussions and negotiations regarding scientific, medical and commercial collaboration, based upon the fact that OWC's topical cream is ready for marketing and commercial exploitation.
When I started reflecting on the meaning of "commercial exploitation", a light bulb went on and I stopped looking for the psoriasis cream on shelves. Just because it's not yet available on the market, it does not mean that the company is not actively marketing the product to third parties and exploit its potential by either a joint venture or selling it outright to another pharmaceutical company.
Anyway there is absolutely no point in speculating what the company may or may not be doing. I think from the time that his appointment was announced on July 24, Dr. Hirsch has brought discipline to the way that the company is being run. It is for this reason that I have every intention of holding on to the shares that I have.
