cybermich: Thanks for your post. Despite what some have implied I have never stated that the daily FINRA short numbers were cumulative. Those numbers are however indicative of the ease of availability. MM's legally short to make a market and provide liquidity and there is nothing wrong with that other than the fact it is being abused to steal trillions from honest hardworking investors and line the pockets of those who are committing criminal acts by abusively naked shorting. If CTIX/IPIX were not under attack hit pieces like Mako's would not have been written nor would a class action lawsuit ever been filed. CTIX/IPIX became a threat to those who had been selling non existent shares when it announced it was going to file for listing on the NASDAQ. Had that filing occurred those short would have lost a lot of money so they took steps to prevent those losses.
BTW I hold Sox in high esteem for being a staunch supporter and loyal long investor of the company and hopefully he feels the same about me. Where we disagree is on whether or not naked shorting is ongoing and has caused the deterioration of the share price. IMO the non retail shorts have not covered a share nor will they until forced to do so. Sox on the other hand feels the sales of shares by Arruda and Aspire are responsible and any naked short is minimal in size wheras IMO it is multi-millions.
My goal besides seeing IPIX deliver investors enormous returns is to see abusive naked shorting which is criminal according to a former SEC Chair eliminated from our markets as was done in Europe over 5 years ago. I also look forward to digital trading and T+0 utilized with all trades. This will go a long way towards leveling the playing field for all investors. The posting those FINRA numbers daily is despised by the shorts. I remain hopeful that it serves to inspire investors to take a stand and contact their elected officials demanding an end to this criminal behavior. Its high time our brokerage firms that are ignoring their fiduciary duty by insuring good delivery did their job as well.
Go IPIX!!!
