wer123, Metformin blocks gluconeogensis. What that does is makes glucose out of fats.. So, you must eat carbs for all your glucose. Carbs are the problem. Diabetes is like an allergy to carbs, so Metformin forces you to eat the problem. Yes, it does not make sense, but it makes you a customer.for your doctor?
