$RIBT They put out a filing yesterday about them exiting their Irgovel rice bran oil partnership. It was a disaster for them, but going forward it will really help earnings since Irgovel was a negative..
What I find concerning is they did not put out a PR today about it. They should have explained in a PR how it will help the company, which it will. The lack of a PR makes me think of two possibilities, First they are finalizing a big deal. Irgovel could have been a concern to a big customer. Second, it might be about to be sold, and Irgovel would have been necessary for the sale.
Either of the two would be great for the stock from here. But I would not like the sale of the company, too much potential.
I have a fellow investor who is a retired business/stocks accountant. He says a stealth buyer might have been buying up a lot of shares from sellers of a 97 cent fund raise earlier this year., "Stealth" means he has his bids in near the current price, keeping the stock from going up if he bought at the ask. That could be a buyer with inside info, or agent of his. If a potential buyer of the company wanted a foothold, this is how they'd do it. If a new 5% or larger holder is announced soon, it might explain more.
But, all the above is speculation and may mean nothing, no "stealth" buyer, no deal. etc.
But,I'm very bullish on the stock.
