Lot to digest there, all sounds pretty plausible... Excellent point re: "This is a group of about 15 people, and if J&J settled before November 17 they would lose their management bonuses."!
Re: buyout of GenPrecis, didn't Mr. Berman say they were looking to partner with a bigger name? It seems like that would be premature, or selling the goose that lays the golden eggs, maybe?
