Amazing experiences, I'm sure. I'm an immigrant from Southern Germany and was able to tour Olympic Village in Munich prior to the '72 Olypmics. My uncle was a soccer judge and I got some unique access. i was fortunate to not have been ther when the Jewish athletes were assasinated in their dorms.
Came to the US in '56, the child of war refugees. My dad, still alive at 94, was orphsnrd by Stalin's purge of the Ukraine. My mother, also still alive, is a Sudetendeutsche, refugee.
