Organic LED vs Quantum Dot LED
Organic LED is made of carbon, an organic substance, so is a piece of paper. A piece of paper can retain static charge when dry, but when wet or under high humidity environment it loses its property to retain static charge. It can also decay over time with a short life span.
Quantum dot is made of metallic semiconductors, it emits its characteristic pure light depending on the particle size, blue light for under 2 nanometer, green light for 5 nanometer, red light for 10 nanometer, even when wet.
Organic LED TV is still a new display technology with unknown future ramification. 5 years down the road with increasing complaint from Organic LED TV owners about degrading picture quality, there will be massive exodus of TV makers from OLED, then Quantum Dot LED will take flight. But those invested in OLED.NASDAQ will has made their fortune as multi-millionaires and billionaires. It will be QMC shareholders' turn.
