Don't worry, once QMC's TFT (thin film transistor) partners have the
Electroluminescent Active Matrix Quantum Dot LED thin film ready, there will be unlimited supply of quantum dots from QMC and unlimited supply of TFT from QMC's film partners. When big contracts are signed between QMC's film partners and one or more big TV makers, QTMM share price will take flight.
Incompetent Samsung gave quantum dot a bad reputation with its "QDLCD" TV which still uses the backward "backlight" technology having "light breeding" problem and poor contrast ratio problem while LG has been using Active Matrix OLED technology with higher brightness and infinite contrast. The comparison between the two technology made Samsung's "QDLCD" TV an insignificant improvement. All of Samsung's models of "QDLCD" TV are not true quantum dot TV, wait till TV with AMQDLED panel such as the one developed by BOE in China comes out, it will blow your mind with crispy, sharp and bright images and infinity contrast. QD LED does not require color filters as OLED does as each quantum dot emits its own natural color light (red, green, blue), thus no light is lost in the filter, resulting in brighter images with truly 100% color gamut. QD LED will not degrade in high humidity/wet environment as OLED does, it is cheaper and simpler to make and have much longer life span than OLED. QD LED TV / mobile devices will be much cheaper then the OLED version, they certainly will capture the consumer market. AMQDLED TV / mobile devices will be the future.
