Protest is not meant to make people feel comfortable or lessen 'daily tensions'. Don't watch the beginning of games if it's so stressful for you.
And if you think standing up for constitutionally protected rights is 'overcomplicating matters' you misread the constitution and American history, badly, as does Trump. They are both 'complicated'.
Your estimate of a potential 30% loss of the NFL fan base is absurd and unsupportable by evidence.
