Oral mucositis is not something that is discussed in the media. I had never heard of it before IPIX developed this application for Brilacidin. I suspect that doctors don't talk about this much because they know it might scare some people off from accepting treatment, if they know the magnitude of the bad side effects. Everyone knows about vomiting and hair loss and fatigue, but I've never seen THIS depicted in the many movies and TV shows that have characters who have cancer. Think of Breaking Bad -- Walter White is seen being very sick from the chemo, but have you ever seen a character with OM?
